Family Roots. Community Connections. Made with Love in Prescott, Arizona.
Our story began in 2022, when we moved to the beautiful mountain town of Prescott, Arizona. We were new to the area and looking for a way to put down roots, meet people, and become part of the community.
We also really wanted a freeze-dryer!
But we didn't want to just freeze-dry things for fun (although we certainly do plenty of that!). We wanted to do something special with it; something that would allow us to work together as a family, support local producers, and share quality foods and treats with our new community.
With a dog of our own, making healthy, wholesome dog treats was a natural place to start. We loved the idea of using simple, high-quality ingredients to create something we could feel good about giving him.
And so, in early 2023, Circle H Farms was born.
A Name With Family Roots
The name Circle H Farms is especially meaningful to us. Mike's father had a business called Circle H, and after his passing, we wanted to honor his memory by carrying on the family name.
It's our little way of keeping a piece of his legacy alive while building something new for the next generation.
A Family Affair
Behind Circle H Farms are the two of us, Mike and Christina, along with our four kids, who all contribute to the business in their own ways.
Between Mike's two sons and Christina's two daughters, our little business has become something the whole family can be part of. Everyone pitches in differently, whether it's lending a hand, sharing ideas, or helping us bring our products to market.
It's not always glamorous, and there's certainly plenty of work involved, but there's something special about building something together as a family.
Finding Our Community
Like most small businesses, we started with plenty of enthusiasm and a lot to learn. We experimented with freeze-drying, developed new products, and slowly figured out what worked and what people enjoyed.
Eventually, we were invited to become vendors at a local farmers market, and that's when things really began to come together.
What started as an idea to create quality products became exactly what we'd hoped for when we moved to Prescott; a way to connect with our community.
We've met so many wonderful people, made new friends, and gotten to know countless four-legged customers along the way. Some of our favorite moments happen right at our market booth, catching up with familiar faces and meeting new ones.
Those relationships have become one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
From Our Family to Yours
Today, Circle H Farms is still a small, hands-on family business and mini urban farm. We personally source our ingredients, choosing local farmers and producers whenever possible, and take care of the preparation, freeze-drying, and packaging ourselves.
From our freeze-dried snacks to our Prescott Pup Treats and Pup Powder, we take pride in knowing exactly what goes into everything we make.
As we enter this next chapter of life, we're excited to see where our little farm takes us. We have plenty of ideas, a few dreams, and probably more projects than we know what to do with!
But no matter how much we grow, our hope is to keep Circle H Farms personal, stay connected to our community, and continue making products we're proud to share.
Looking back, it's pretty amazing to think that a freeze-dryer, a family name, and a desire to meet our neighbors could grow into something so meaningful.
